Kickstarter pledges are managed directly through Kickstarter, not through tortugabackpacks.com or our support team — so this works a bit differently than a regular store order.
While the campaign is still live
You can cancel your own pledge any time:
- Go to our campaign page on Kickstarter and click "Manage your pledge."
- Click "Cancel Pledge," next to "Change your pledge."
A couple of things to know:
- Once the campaign ends and pledge collection starts, cancellation is no longer possible — through Kickstarter or through us.
- You can't decrease or cancel a pledge in the last 24 hours of the campaign if doing so would drop the project below its funding goal.
Late Pledges
If you backed after the main campaign through Kickstarter's Late Pledge option, your payment was charged immediately, so it can't be changed or canceled through Kickstarter. Email us at contact@tortugabackpacks.com and we'll see what we can do on our end.
Once your reward ships
It's fulfilled as a Kickstarter campaign reward rather than a standard store purchase, so our usual 30-day return policy doesn't apply the same way. We'll share full product details throughout the campaign so you can back with confidence.
